Just finished reading: The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell.
I’ve been meaning to read this for years, and I finally got around to it, mainly because it’s assigned reading for one of my classes this semester. I got through it in about a week, mainly because I’ve been reading it to put off doing other homework.
It’s good though - it explains how trends critical mass, how they make the jump from being something that the “innovators” are doing to the mainstream. I also saw a lot of things that applicable to classes I’m taking at the moment - for one Gore-Tex’s organisational structure, or lack thereof. I don’t think I would have appreciated this book and how it really ties into all the things I’ve learnt if I’d read it 5 years earlier, so I’m kind of glad it worked out this way.
