Things finished and unfinished.
Hmm, so it turns out I wasn’t so great at the consistently blogging about cafes thing and actually covering all the places I wanted to before I graduated last month. Life got busy - for a while there I was studying pretty much all day, every day (including weekends). Even though it was a lot of work, looking back on it right now, it feels good, I felt like I really did something and I’m proud of that.
Anyway, here’s a few cafes I didn’t get a chance to review, but are worth a visit:
- Animal Orchestra, 163 Grattan Street. They’re cheap ($3.30 if I recall correctly) and put cute stamps on your take-away cup.
- Kere Kere, Engineering Lane. I believe it’s been renamed House of Cards. They have a small selection of sandwiches and you get to feel good about the profits being donated to charity.
- Carte, behind the John Medley West Building. They’re primarily in the business of making crepes, but they do coffee too. Useful for when you’re studying at the Bailieu Library.
- Dr Dax Kitchen, Melbourne Brain Centre. Good coffee and a big selection of food, although it gets very busy at lunch with people coming over from the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
A little further from campus, if you feel like killing some time and taking a walk:
